Jillian Zuboy  MA, LPC

I believe that our early childhood experiences have a huge impact on who we become: who we are in the world, who we are in relationships, how we see the world, how we see others, how we experience life events, and how we get our needs met. But I strongly believe that for the most part, you should decide what we focus on in session.

In general, I believe that people naturally grow toward wellness and balance in their lives. Sometimes, that natural momentum is slowed, blocked, twisted, or misdirected by us, others, life-events, and/or the world we live in. I believe the most powerful influences in our lives, for better or worse, are our relationships with others.

Therapy uses the power of relationship.

Within the therapeutic relationship, I will meet you where you are, and assist you in examining what has happened in the past, what is happening now, and what you hope to happen in the future. Together, we can set goals, develop your strengths, challenge your perceived weaknesses, improve your relationships, expand your support system, and mark your progress.

My hope and intention is for you to discover things about yourself and your world that empower you to grow, and that will restore your natural ability to find balance and wellness in your life.
